Of course, Bertie has his own motives for doing so – he was once accidentally engaged to Gussie’s fiance and he would very much like to avoid getting into such a situation again. In The Code of the Woosters, Bertie reluctantly goes into the lion’s den to help an old friend named Gussie to marry the love of his life. I normally wait a while between series (although not too long) because I have too many books on my TBR list but I enjoyed Jeeves and the Yuletide Spirit so much that I borrowed The Code of the Wooster straight away.
